Dr. Thierry Vrain, studied plant physiology as an undergraduate in France, then received his Ph.D. in plant pathology at North Carolina State University. Dr. Vrain then worked for Agriculture Canada for 30 years as a soil biologist and genetic scientist. Dr. Vrain was an enthusiastic supporter of genetic engineering techology, and was even the designated spokesperson to assure the public of the safety of GMO crops. However, since retiring 10 years ago, and after taking into account scientific evidence ignored by most of the bio-tech industry promoters and government regulators, Dr. Vrain has reversed that position and now warns of the dangers from GMOs.
