Boston Temple’s
75th Anniversary at 105 Jersey Street
April 29–30, 2016
We are delighted to announce that the Boston Temple congregation is celebrating 75 years at 105 Jersey Street.
The Boston Temple has been at the center of Adventism’s rich history in our city, boasting Ellen White, A. T. Jones, and J. N. Loughborough as preachers in our pulpit. Since our move in 1941, the Boston Temple has also been an important part of the Fenway community as the regular host of the Neighborhood Night Out. The church has also hosted ministries from Cambridge to Dorchester, birthed other Boston-area churches, and served Boston’s many campuses. In ministering to Boston’s students, our church has been able to expand our reach beyond the Fenway community and greater Boston area; we provide a spiritual home and nourishment to Adventists who leave from here to go all over the world. We want to take this moment to celebrate not only our neighborhood, city, and global ministry, but also our past, present, and future stewardship of our location.
We’ve planned a special weekend for April 29–30, 2016, starting with a Friday evening vespers, featuring former Boston Temple pastor Hyveth Williams on Sabbath morning, and ending with a sacred concert performed by local musicians. (See below for full schedule.) We happily invite all Seventh-day Adventists and friends in the Greater Boston area to join us in this high day of celebration.
